Remember to protect your Basenjis from the harshness of the winter. Limit time outside and provide a nice warm spot inside for them. Coats and booties are a must for long walks or if they are outside longer that a quick potty break. The chemicals used to remove ice and snow is especially harmful not only to their feet, but they could lick and ingest it. Remember to wipe their feet when returning home from walks

Foods Toxic to Dogs
With the approach of Halloween and other holidays I want to remind everybody to be especially diligent with keeping toxic foods away from your dogs. Chocolate in any form; drinks, candy, cakes is toxic. For more information on other foods your dog shouldn’t eat check out the WebMD slideshow.
