Puppies! Puppies!

Basenji girls typically come into season once a year, unlike most dogs that come into season twice a year.  The time for puppies is quickly arriving.  They are usually born late Fall, early winter.  If you are thinking you would like to add a Basenji to your family, you might want to start your research by checking out So You Think You Want a Basenji, provided by the Basenji Club of America, to determine if a Basenji is right for you.

  1. This breed is fascinating. We would like to learn more , especially raising from a puppy. I had several dogs in my life, but the only 3 puppies I had were 2 Australian terriers and a Bassett hound. One of the terriers passed the other had to leave after my by-pass surgery. My Bassett went to home that was willing to breed her and they kept her because our family was moving to an area the she would not comfortable
